Everyone at Ubisoft Wants In On Assassin's Creed Hexe

Assassin’s Creed Hexe has a new creative director, as Jean Guesdon, formerly the creative director on Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, has taken over the role after the departure of former creative director Clink Hocking. Guesdon is now in charge of what could be the best project going on at Ubisoft.

According to Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming, everyone at Ubisoft is fighting to get a spot on the Hexe project.

"Some folk will be wary of this change, but Assassin's Creed Hexe is the one project that everyone at Ubisoft wants to work on because of how good it's shaping up to be."

Very little is known about the actual premise of Assassin’s Creed Hexe. Announced back in 2022 alongside a handful of other titles for the series, little has been given in terms of public updates since that announcement. Back in 2024, there were rumors that Hexe had been pushed into 2026, but following the major shakeup at Ubisoft that featured half a dozen delays, nothing has been said about the status of Hexe.

It will be interesting to see how Hexe fits into the Assassin’s Creed calendar. The Black Flag resync is rumored to be launching next March after a delay during the Ubisoft transition. Will Hexe fill the gap between Shadows and Black Flag resync or follow up the highly anticipated Resync? Hopefully, we will get information on the status of Hexe sooner rather than later.

What do you make of the idea that Hexe is the go-to project for Ubisoft right now? Let us know in the comments and be sure to join our GamerzTheory Discord.
