Wolfenstein 3 Casting Call Reveals New Companion - Sofiya & B.J. To Return
Wolfenstein 3 appears to be next in line at MachineGames as new details emerge.
It has been no secret that once Machine Games wrapped up the success of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, along with its DLC The Order of Giants, the team would look toward returning to the Wolfenstein series. Studio Director Jerk Gustafsson previously mentioned that the studio always intended to return to the iconic franchise.
Now, according to a casting call discovered by MP1ST, MachineGames is listing a role for a character named Sofiya. While there isn’t much information to go on, the character is described as a Ukrainian orphan between the ages of 8 and 11. She is accompanied by her companion, Ralph, a dog. Sofiya is said to form a bond with William “B.J.” Blazkowicz and accompany him on his journey, which appears to mark the return of the legendary Nazi‑killing machine.
The role description notes that Sofiya is “initially suspicious and traumatized by war, though she blooms under the care of the resistance as a strong‑willed survivor.” Could the two be teaming up? Joel may be gone in The Last of Us, but there could be a new fatherly figure stepping into that role here.

One final point worth noting is that the casting call mentions performance capture is scheduled to begin in April, with follow‑up sessions planned throughout 2026 and extending into 2027.
Needless to say, MachineGames is hard at work under the codename “Valkyrie,” alongside development on the TV show adaptation. The studio clearly isn’t slowing down, reassuring fans of the series who may have been concerned that the team had moved on.
