Crimson Desert Hits 4 Million Copies Sold Worldwid

Pearl Abyss has announced that Crimson Desert, the newly released open-world RPG, has now hit four million sales worldwide since its launch on March 19th 2026.

“Crimson Desert has sold over four million copies worldwide. Thank you to all the Grey men who have been a part of this journey with us and for all of your incredible love and support.”

Crimson Desert hit 3 million sales within the first week of launch, and has been selling at a steady pace since. Pearl Abyss has been hard at work with several patches over the week with numerous bug fixes, and their recent update implemented five new mounts.

Taking place in the fictional land Pyel, Crimson Desert follows Cliff, leader of the Grey manes, as he suffers a major defeat at the hands of the rival Black Bears. With his comrades either dead or scattered across the land, having lost his family in all but name. Cliff must journey to reunite the survivors of the Grey manes and rebuild the faction.
