Assassin's Creed Unity Gets 60 FPS And 4K Update on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S

Assassin’s Creed Unity received the promised 60 FPS patch today for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and the patch also seems to have included an undocumented bump up to 4k resolution. While not mentioned in the Assassin’s Creed blog by Ubisoft this week, the PS5 update history does state 4K resolution and 60 FPS gameplay.

Several users on ResetERA did some testing to indicate that the game has indeed been increased from the 900p resolution from the game's original launch. With several new games on the horizon, with Ubisoft giving players a small sneak peek for the upcoming Hexe and Invictus titles in the blog post earlier this week, it is nice that in the meantime they have brought Unity to current times with this update.

Of course, we are still waiting for more news about Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced now that Ubisoft has officially confirmed that title, seems like the coming years for the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

Are you hoping back into Unity with the new 4K resolution and 60 FPS patch? Do the future titles for Assassin’s Creed excite you for the franchise? Let us know in the comments and come hang out in the GamerzTheory Discord with us.
