Ubisoft Finally Confirms Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Remake
Ubisoft today, in a blog post, gave us a bit of a sneak peek into what is coming for the Assassin’s Creed franchise in 2026 and beyond, and finally confirmed one of the worst kept secrets for the franchise. While an Assassin’s Creed Black Flag remake has been talked about for quite a while, and was allegedly set to release this year before being delayed, Ubisoft has never officially confirmed the game, until today when they dropped this in their new blog post.
Speculation around Assassin's Creed is not new, but it's worth repeating: "Nothing is true. Everything is permitted." Well, except in this case, some whispers have a little more wind in their sails. Keep your spyglass on the horizon.

As for other Assassin’s Creed titles, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is nearly about to turn one, with Ubisoft planning an official celebration for the game on March 20th on the official Ubisoft Twitch channel at 10AM PT. While the game will be entering the final phase of support, there are still a few more surprises left to come according to Ubisoft.
As for other upcoming titles, we got a few tidbits from Ubisoft, first speaking about Assassin’s Creed: Hexe. While nothing can be said yet, they did confirm the game is still expected to have a darker, narrative-driven experience compared to other titles in the franchise, which they say will be set during a pivotal moment in history.
Assassin’s Creed: Invictus is a PvP multiplayer experience that is being led by a dedicated team of For Honor veterans and Ubisoft Montreal. While they did not go into much detail, they did add that while the game is multiplayer, it is not exactly what the rumors around the game suggest.
The final project mentioned was Assassin’s Creed Jade. Although nothing specific was said on the title, they did also say they are looking to bring co-op back to Assassin’s Creed. Finally, they mentioned that an unnamed project has been closed down.
Finally, Ubisoft mentioned that more news about the Assassin’s Creed live-action series is coming very soon, and that a 60 FPS patch for Assassin's Creed Unity is coming to PS5 and Xbox X/S on March 5.
