The Wolf Among Us 2 Could Release in 2027 | Rumor Claims Major Restart

It appears it’s back to the drawing board for The Wolf Among Us 2, as the latest rumor suggests our friend Bigby will return in 2027 after development has reportedly been less than ideal.

Telltale Games, the original creators of the series, began development of The Wolf Among Us 2 in 2017 before closing their doors in 2018. Not long after, however, some of the team revitalized the studio in 2019 and looked to restart the project. The game was initially set to release in 2023, but a shift to Unreal Engine 5 pushed the timeline back once again.

It’s been over a decade since fans have heard much - if anything at all - about The Wolf Among Us 2, until now. Spanish publication PressOver claims that sources they’ve spoken with indicate the game is currently in co-development with an Argentinian studio, which remains unnamed to protect anonymity. They did reveal, however, that fans could see the sequel in 2027, alongside a possible remaster of the first title to help new and returning players catch up. It’s been a while since I played the original back in 2013, and I, for one, could use a friendly reminder of past events before diving into the sequel.

It’s been far too long since we’ve heard anything substantial from Telltale Games about the series. Development has been anything but smooth, with studio closures, reopenings, and multiple delays. Is it finally time to reveal more about The Wolf Among Us 2? Maybe we’ll see something during this year’s Summer Game Fest. This should all be taken with a grain of salt as nothing has been officially announced.

Let us know your thoughts in the comments below - will we finally see more of The Wolf Among Us 2?
