NACON Connect Postponed to May 2026 Amid Insolvency Filing

French publisher NACON, the company behind titles such as Hell is Us and the upcoming Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss, has recently confirmed that the previously announced NACON Connect showcase is in fact still happening. After announcing last week that the event would take place later this week, the company first announced the event had been indefinitely postponed after filing for insolvency.

However, the company took to X this morning to confirm that NACON Connect was still happening. However, it was being pushed back to May 2026. While The Cosmic Abyss is the only title from NACON with an official release date this year, the company has a trio of titles with current 2026 release windows. The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu, Terminator: Survivors, and Edge of Memories are all expected to be released at some point this year.

As far as the insolvency goes, it revolves around majority shareholder Bigben Interactive, who has run into issues securing a €43 million refinancing agreement with French banks. However, in a statement today, NACON simply said: "Yes, things are challenging. No, this is not the end."

Should NACON be forced down a road of liquidation in the future, the following 12 studios would be impacted

  • Nacon Studio Milan

  • Big Ant Studios

  • Daedalic Entertainment

  • Cyanide

  • Midgar Studio

  • RaceWard Studio

  • Neopica

  • Ishtar Games

  • Crea-ture Studios

  • Eko Software

  • Kylotonn

  • Spiders

Is NACON next in line for the long list of studio closures in recent years or do you think the upcoming titles for the publisher will do enough to keep them on track going forward? Let us know in the comments and come hang out with us in the GamerzTheory Discord.
