New Blizzard Job Ad Suggests Vehicle Combat in Rumored StarCraft Shooter

An upcoming game in the StarCraft universe from Blizzard is getting an interesting wrinkle after a job posting on the company’s website surfaced. While Blizzard has yet to confirm anything about an upcoming StarCraft game, rumored to be an FPS, Bloomberg reported two years ago that it is a StarCraft shooter with rumors that it is being led by Far Cry alumni Dan Hay. Now a job posting for an unannounced game has appeared on Blizzard’s website.

The job listing is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, with a specialty in Gameplay Physics. In the description, the line that catches a lot of people's eye is:

As a key member of the development team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, physics-driven gameplay systems that support vehicle simulation, traversal, and combat experiences.

If the unannounced game is truly a StarCraft FPS, the job listing seems to hint at potential vehicle combat in the game. Of course, StarCraft has been one of the quieter core titles from Blizzard, with the last release in 2017 when StarCraft 1 got a remaster.
