The Expanse: Osiris Reborn New Gameplay Revealed | Closed Beta April 22, Game Pass Day One

The Expanse: Osiris Reborn has revealed new gameplay, and players will soon get a chance to try the game for themselves.

During yesterday’s Xbox Partner Preview event, Owlcat Games gave players a solid look at new gameplay for the upcoming sci‑fi title. The game is set to release in Spring 2027, and those with Game Pass Ultimate will be able to play it on day one as part of their Ultimate subscription.

In addition, Owlcat announced that a closed beta will be available to players who purchase the Collector’s Edition or Miller’s Pack from the official website. The closed beta begins on April 22 for Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. Access to the beta will give players a hands‑on feel for the game’s combat, zero‑gravity movement, and the life‑and‑death challenges of surviving on a remote space station.

Players will explore the remote space station of their employer, Pinkwater Security, as they escape the catastrophic events of Eros - familiar territory for fans of the books and TV series. Players can interact with the station’s inhabitants, experiment with dialogue options, and make choices that carry real consequences. Owlcat will gather feedback from closed beta participants to help improve the final release when the game launches in 2027.
