God of War TV Series Casts Mimir, Brok & Sindri: Alastair Duncan Returns
Amazon’s God of War series has announced the castings for the characters, Mimir, Brok, and Sindir. With the former set to be played by Alastair Duncan, who portrayed the character in God of War (2018) and God of War Ragnarök (2022).
In addition to Duncan, Brok will be played by Danny Woodburn, and Jeff Gulka will take on the role of Brok’s brother Sindri. These three new castings come on the heels of the casting announcements for four of the major roles in the series. With Ryan Hurst (Kratos), Max Parker (Heimdall), Ólafur Darri Ólafsson (Thor), and Mandy Patinkin (Odin).
Woodburn had previously appeared as Mickey Aboot in Seinfeld, while Gulka is best known for his role as Gibson Praise in The X-Files. Duncan, of course, is well known to God of War fans, and has also had roles in Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and its sequel.

Mimir was an advisor to Odin before being banished to the confines of a tree trunk. During the games, Kratos cut off and reanimated his head, and Mimir accompanies Kratos and Atreus on their journeys. The series will presumably follow a similar path for Mimir. Brok and Sindri are both legendary dwarven blacksmiths. Brok is foul-mouthed and brash, while Sindri is upbeat and helpful.
The live-action God of War series is currently set to begin production in Vancouver, Canada next month.
