ARC Raiders & The Finals Hit by Massive DDoS Attacks, Embark Confirms Servers Stabilizing

Found yourself with issues playing ARC Raiders or The Finals recently? Dont worry it isnt your set up. Embark Studios confirmed via the ARC Raiders Discord that both games have been suffering from "extensive, coordinated DDoS attacks." ARC Raiders community manager, Ossen, confirmed that Embark is aware of the attacks and working to fight it.

"Hey Raiders, both ARC Raiders and THE FINALS have been under extensive, coordinated DDoS attacks. The strike team has been working hard on mitigations and solutions to fix the problem, and we are making good progress - but at this point in time the attacks are still ongoing." 

Good news for players is at least for now, things seem to be stabilizing. As Ossen posted an update this morning, "We are noticing that servers are recovering. Thanks for your patience, and please let us know if you notice any more issues."

A minor frustration for players from the event has been Embark not posting updates to any of its social media channels and only relaying updates in the ARC Raiders discord. If you find yourself in the dark during the DDOS, make sure you join the ARC Raiders discord as that seems to be where all updates on this and future situations are likely to come from. For now, the population seems to be returning to normal, which is a good sign that the DDOS attack was relatively short-lived.
