Division 3 Shock: Series Producer Julian Gerighty Leaves Ubisoft After 27 Years to Join Battlefield

After just one week of speaking out about the development of The Division 3, series producer Julian Gerighty has left the studio to join the Battlefield team at EA.

Julian Gerighty had been with Ubisoft for approximately 27 years, starting back in 1999. Now, as the series producer on The Division at Massive Entertainment, Gerighty has decided to leave the French company and head to EA, where he will join the Battlefield team. Massive Entertainment posted the news on X this morning, saying: “Once an Agent, always an Agent.”

“Today, we want to share that Julian Gerighty, Executive Producer on the Tom Clancy’s The Division franchise is heading off to a new adventure at Battlefield Studios. While we’ll miss him, his mark will live on at Massive and we’ll continue to bring the world he’s been part of creating to our players for years to come.

Julian, your legacy is part of this studio and remember: once an Agent, always an Agent.

For our players, don’t worry, Agents. Our teams who built this world with Julian are still here, carrying it forward with an ambitious, unchanged commitment for the future with The Division 2, The Division 2: Survivors, The Division Resurgence and The Division 3.”

Julian posted on X:

“Agents! Quick update from the Base Of Operations: It's time for me to hang up my go bag (keeping the watch) as I go on another grand adventure. The Division future burns bright, and I can't wait for you to discover what the teams have been working on. Long live The Division and Godspeed!”

Just last week, Julian discussed how The Division 3 “is shaping up to be a monster” as they celebrated 10 years of The Division. How time flies. With Gerighty leaving Massive and what is set to be the biggest third installment for The Division, fans are voicing their concerns - and rightfully so.

Ubisoft recently announced layoffs at the studio, and now, with Gerighty leaving, what does the future of the franchise look like to you? Let us know over in our Discord. Are you worried about The Division 3? How do you feel about Gerighty moving on to Battlefield? We want to hear from you.
