The Division 3 “Is Shaping Up To Be a Monster”

Ubisoft is preparing to celebrate The Division with its ten-year anniversary, honoring the game's long-standing agents. Originally released in 2016 and inspired by the Tom Clancy series, The Division is an action RPG where players, as elite agents, restore order in a pandemic-devastated Manhattan amid faction wars.

What’s next for the series after the release of two successful titles? The biggest game in the series yet lies ahead, giving fans plenty to be excited about. Julian Gerighty spoke during the New Game+ showcase about the upcoming project:

“The Division 3 is in production, right? This is not a secret; it’s been announced. It’s shaping up to be a monster. I can’t really say anything more than that. But within these walls in Massive, we are working extremely hard on something that I think will have as big an impact as Division 1 was.”

The first The Division was stunning, featuring groundbreaking technology at the time. Everyone remembers the reveal trailer with the agent sliding their hand across the car to close the door. The game was impactful. Can Massive surprise fans once again? Next to nothing is known about the game - its location, new systems, or how players will react when Ubisoft and Massive are ready to reveal The Division 3 to the world.
