Terminal War Roadmap: Albatross Interactive Plans Offical Trailer, Early Access This Year
Alec of Albatross Interactive, joined our Theory Unlocked podcast this week to talk about his upcoming game Terminal Wars, a faction based 4v4 shooter, heavily inspired by The Last of Us Factions. Alec opened up to us a bit about the current planned roadmap for the title and how the next year is lined up.
Terminal War burst onto the scene with a simple tweet last week, teasing it as Albatross’ own version of The Last of Us Faction 2. Alec revealed that this tweet with some unofficial gameplay almost never happened.
“I had been very hesitant to post it, and for weeks I have been mulling it over, but my business partner kept pushing me to show our 200 fans what we had been working on, and I decided to get a little bold in the tweet.”
Alec said currently an official gameplay trailer is scheduled for June, and said that while the hope is to release early access this year, nothing is set in stone, as the looming GTA 6 release is a huge roadblock.
“Yea I am hoping GTA 6 gets delayed again because its timing really was not ideal for us, but then again, no time is ever ideal. Right now we are planning an official trailer in June, and hopefully in 2026 we can release a version to the public but with no promises.”
The game is currently set for an early access release, both for feedback, Alec said, hopefully to secure more funding.
“Right now, I hope when we do launch we can take the community feedback to work on the game. We don’t have a set idea of when we will move from Early Access to full release. We are also hoping if Early Access goes well we can find some funding to let us continue the game. We don’t need much, even a little bit of the industry standard is all I need to make this game something amazing.”
