Starfield PS5 Release Date Confirmed: April 7, 2026 with DualSense Features, Free Lanes, Terran Armada & PS5 Pro Modes

Starfield explores the Settled Systems on PlayStation 5 on April 7. Bethesda will finally bring Starfield, along with all of the game’s latest additions - including the newest expansions, Free Lanes and Terran Armada - to PlayStation 5 next month.

Bethesda has been quietly working to improve the game since launch nearly three years ago. Now, with the reveal of Free Lanes and Terran Armada, alongside the announcement of Starfield expanding its galaxy once more for PlayStation 5 players, we’re getting a glimpse of what’s in store beyond the Settled Systems for fans.

Tim Lamb, Lead Creative Producer at Bethesda Game Studios, revealed what players can expect from the latest update and acknowledged that, while the game was Bethesda’s most ambitious project to date, some players may have been left wanting more and more is now. New content is here for both new and returning players - most notably for those on PlayStation 5.

Here’s what PlayStation players can expect when purchasing the game: integrated use of the DualSense light bar, adaptive triggers, the touchpad, and more. On the PlayStation 5 Pro, players can choose a Pro Performance Mode to prioritize a higher target FPS or select Pro Visual Mode for enhanced visuals along with tons of content to keep players busy for hours on end.

Starfield’s base edition will be available on all platforms for $49.99, while the premium edition will be $69.99.
