Warner Bros. Montréal Hit by Layoffs: Senior Staff Affected, More Cuts Possible
Several key members of the Warner Bros. Montréal team have been laid off, including senior developers who have been with the company for nearly a decade. Warner Bros. has been in a spiral recently. Last year, they announced the cancellation of their Wonder Woman game and shut down multiple studios, and Warner Bros. Games held layoffs late last year.
Three significant employees are part of the most recent round at Warner Bros. Montréal, as associate narrative director Ceri Young, level designer Camille Olivier Paquette, and associate producer Nicolas Pereira-Poisson all announced on LinkedIn on Friday last week that they have been affected by the layoffs and that further job losses could still be coming.
GamerzTheory wishes those three and anyone else who might be affected by the Warner Bros. layoffs well. It is currently unclear if the layoffs will modify any upcoming plans for, as last month, Warner Bros. Games teased the return of their ‘biggest franchises’ for 2027-28.

Paramount is set to win a bidding war for Warner Bros. in the coming months, so it will be curious to see what that transition could mean for the gaming side as well.
