Marathon Steam Player Count Settles at 50-60K

It has been ten days since Marathon officially launched, and the game has seemingly settled in at the 50-60k player mark on Steam, according to Steam DB. The number puts it below Helldivers 2 and Battlefield 6, but ahead of the most recent Call of Duty.

Of course, these numbers need to be taken with a grain of salt, as they are only the Steam numbers and do not reflect the PS5 or Xbox numbers. The extraction shooter recently received its first patch with a number of updates and fixes, and still has an endgame zone, Cryo Archive, set to be unlocked later this month.

Ranked mode is always coming later in the month, so it is a wonder if the game will tick up once the competitive mode comes online. For comparison, Arc Raiders 24 hour peak is nearly 200k, and still regularly hits close to 150k, which would be the most recent extraction shooter released.
