Asha Sharma to Xbox Fans: "Hear You" on Exclusives | Is the Multi-Platform Era Over?

Fans are calling for Xbox exclusives to return following Asha Sharma's appointment as the new lead, and Asha Sharma is listening. Asha Sharma has been promoted to CEO of Microsoft Gaming, with Phil Spencer passing the position to Asha Sharma. Former Xbox president Sarah Bond has decided to move on, while Matt Booty has been promoted to Chief Content Officer.

During Sharma's brief tenure as CEO, fans have begun reaching out, asking for the return of exclusive games. One fan said, “I hope you understand how important exclusive games are,” to which Sharma replied, “Hear you.”

With more and more Xbox first-party games now appearing on other platforms, is it too late for Sharma to change direction? Not if her statement is any indication:

“We will celebrate our roots with a renewed commitment to Xbox, starting with the console that has shaped who we are.”
