Todd Howard Gives Elder Scrolls 6 Update: "Big Milestone" Coming, Majority of Studio on TES6

Todd Howard, the boss of Bethesda Game Studios, continues to manage fans’ expectations and once again reaffirms that The Elder Scrolls VI is “going well.” The legendary creator behind some of the most iconic franchises recently sat down with Kinda Funny Games to discuss the studio and the future of their latest project - a project many feel was announced far too soon. The Elder Scrolls VI was revealed to the world, and more importantly, to investors, back in 2018 - nearly six years ago. But what’s new with the project?

Not much. Similar statements from the past persist, though Howard admits it was not his preference to reveal the game so early. Though most of the team is now focused on the game. He continued with familiar comments:

"it's going well, we're happy with it. It's going to be a while yet. We're happy with where we pushed the technology and how the game is coming together."

"We're able to play it, we're about to pass a big milestone internally, the majority of the studio is on the game, and some of our partners."

From Howard’s conversation, the game appears to be nearly ready to show something in the near future. However, fans have been asked to be patient. This isn’t the first time Howard has asked fans for patience, nor is it likely to be the last. The Elder Scrolls VI is being developed on the latest Creation Engine 3.0. Starfield was crafted on Creation Engine 2.0. Will this be the leap in technology that fans hoped would take Starfield to a galaxy far away when it comes to The Elder Scrolls VI? Time will tell as we get ever closer to Bethesda revealing more about the game. Will the game appear during Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest?

When do you think we’ll actually learn more about the game? Let us know in the comments.
