Christopher Judge Reveals God of War Trilogy Remake Details: New Fighting System, Cory Barlog's Game Teased for Summer Reveal

Christopher Judge, who plays Kratos in God of War 2018 and God of War Ragnarök, gave a few details on the upcoming God of War Trilogy remake that was recently announced by Sony Santa Monica.

Speaking at a Fan Expo in Vancouver to YouTuber Fuzhpuzy this past weekend, Judge let a few details about the upcoming games slip. Of course, as we already knew, Judge said he was not returning as Kratos, with that role going to TC Carson, the original Kratos actor. However, the Judge did mention that the remakes would feature new technology and a new fighting system.

As for the upcoming Cory Barlog game? Judge simply said,

"And then you'll be hearing about what we're doing, probably in late Summer.”

This matches up with recent leaks from a pair of major insiders, NatetheHate and Shinobi602, who have both said that the next Sony Santa Monica title directed by Cory Barlog would be revealed in Summer with a targeted 2027 launch.

As for the game, it remains to be seen, though it has been stated by another insider, Ashhong from ResetEra, with Jason Schreier of Bloomberg adding legitimacy to the claim it will not be another God of War entry. What little we do know is that while Schreier said it's not based on a new franchise, it would “feel like it.”
