REPLACED Delayed Again | Sad Cat Studios Announces Final Polish

The highly anticipated retro-futuristic action platformer REPLACED has been delayed.

In a statement from Sad Cat Studios, we’ve learned that REPLACED will now be crushing pixels on April 14, 2026, instead of the original release date of March 12, 2026. The statement reads:

“As a small team working on our very first title we’ve poured everything we have into this project. While the game is technically finished, reaching the final stretch has shown us that we need just a few more weeks to ensure the experience is exactly what you deserve. We want the version of REPLACED you play on day one to be polished, stable, and true to the vision we’ve share with you.”

This short delay will allow the team to create the perfect pixel-popping experience we hope to witness. Adding a month for the final touches is not that long when you consider how long we’ve already waited for the game’s release. Originally revealed to fans in 2021, the game has faced multiple delays due to the conflict in Ukraine and the studio’s relocation.

Scot from the team was able to go hands-on with the demo and loved the experience so far. You can check out his full preview here.

Let us know in the comments below what you think of REPLACED getting a brief delay.
