Assassin’s Creed Shadows Year 2 Plans: Chunkier Content, Remixed Boss Fights, New Weapons
We got a sneak peek at what could be coming for Assassin’s Creed Shadow in year two. X user Zephryss compiled everything discussed during an interview between AC Shadow’s post-launch director Simon and Jorraptor. Everything mentioned below is currently in the testing phase, and some features might be cut or delayed if they do not work out as expected.

Content drops for AC Shadows are set to be less frequent in 2026. However, the content that is released should have significantly more gameplay hours than what was added in Year 1. Boss fights could return in Year 2 with remixed forms and added twists. With players potentially able to fight previous bosses with new abilities.
A new weapon type will be added for Naoe or Yasuke, with the chance for Naoe to receive a short bow option in the future. The Corrupted Caste feature is set to expand with new challenges and potentially new rewards.
Players will be allowed to turn off visual effects for Helix items. In addition, several new cosmetics are on the horizon, with Animus and Assassin’s Creed style legacy outfit rewards, a Shao Jun legacy outfit that could have a special mission tied to it. Players will also be given the chance to customize headgear, choosing between a mask, hood, or both.
Finally, more Isu content is coming to Shadows, along with more Kassandra content with a crossover mission similar to what was done in Valhalla.
