Leak: Cory Barlog's Next God of War Game Not the Trilogy Remake
Yesterday during the Sony State of Play Showcase we learned that a God of War Trilogy Remake is in the works, and a new leak seems to reveal that another title is also in the works. While we have had plenty of God of War rumors, it seems that a new game from Cory Barlog is in the works for the series.
According to shinobi602 on Reset Era, when asked, “Please shinobi602 tell us that the GoW remake is not the Cory Barlog project?” the insider first responded ‘naw’ before going on to clarify the status of the project from Barlog is coming soon. “Not that far (barring any delays of course).” Before adding that the reveal of this project is expected to be this year, and “given the quarter they’re targeting,” it is likely the reveal could be at the May State of Play or Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest.

Seems like it could be a busy few years for Santa Monica Studios and that is good news for God of War fans. With an original trilogy remake in the works, plus the unannounced project, and the shadow-drop of the 2D God of War: Sons of Sparta game yesterday, we have plenty of Kratos content coming.
Where do you want to see Kratos go next? Rumors of a trip to Egypt or a multiplayer focused title have been swirling, or do you want somewhere different? Let us know in the comments down below and jump into the GamerzTheory Discord.
