Assassin's Creed Black Flag Remake Announcement & Release Coming Soon

In an interesting turn of events, new rumors have popped up, that the Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag remake could be officially announced and released very soon. While insider shinobi602 said the game will not be shown at the Sony State of Play this week. They did go on to say that the announcement and the game's release are not too far off.

The Black Flag remake, which was given a PEGI rating under the name Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced, has been in the news for the last two years, with the original rumor dating back to 2023 when Kotaku reported the game was in development. Since then, we have had Matt Ryan, the actor behind Edward Kenway, leaking information to fans at meet-ups before Ubisoft began threatening lawsuits if he did not stop talking about the game.

Of course, in the last few weeks is when things got the most bleak, as has been heavily discussed, the recent Ubisoft “major reset” seemed to have delayed any hopes of the game until next year. While Black Flag Resync was never named officially, rumors say the title was one of seven unnamed games delayed during the reset. With several believing the game was the title that had been designated for a 2026 Fiscal year launch but had been delayed until the 2027 Fiscal year, which ends in March.

For now, Black Flag Resync remains fittingly in the shadows, with only whispers of dates and leaks to go off, but it seems that for now that we should be getting some official information, finally, sooner rather than later.
