Planet of Lana 2: Children of the Leaf Release Date Announced

Today, Wishfully Studios and Thunderful revealed when fans will be able to jump into the highly anticipated sequel, Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf. The original Planet of Lana quickly became a smash hit when it launched in May 2023. The game was critically acclaimed and currently holds a Metacritic score of 80, as fans eagerly await the sequel.

Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf will launch on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch on March 5, 2026, with a demo dropping on February 11 on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. A demo for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 is planned for release at a later date.

The new release trailer offers a fresh look at stunning biomes, from breathtaking landscapes to the depths of the ocean floor and beyond - all accompanied by what promises to be another incredible musical symphony. Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf sets up a story of greed and power, highlighting the struggles of tribes on their home planet. Lana and her little companion return to help stand up against those who seek to claim the planet for themselves.

“We are excited to reveal that Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf is coming to PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch on March 5th,” said Game Director Adam Stjärnljus. “We learnt so much from the development of the first Planet of Lana and used that to improve on every aspect of the game in Planet of Lana II. The first game was received amazingly well by players and critics, so we can’t wait to see how people react to the improved sequel when they play the demo on February 11th and the full game on March 5th.”
