Tides of Tomorrow Release Date Delayed to April
Tides of Tomorrow is an upcoming first-person survival adventure game from DigixArt, the studio that brought us Road 96 and is published by THQ Nordic. The game is set on the flooded ocean planet Elynd, in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by the Great Flood and a deadly disease called Plastemia. You play as a memory-less "Tidewalker." Your goal is to sail treacherous waters by boat, explore diverse floating platforms, gather resources, interact with quirky characters, and seek a cure while navigating moral choices that branch the narrative.
Tides of Tomorrow was originally set to launch sometime next month. However, in a post on X, the team announced that the release date will be moved back. After receiving player feedback from the Steam demo - which is still available - DigixArt has decided to delay the game to April 22, 2026. The two-month delay will hopefully allow the team to fix bugs and polish the game for its launch on Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

What makes Tides of Tomorrow so interesting is its asynchronous multiplayer storytelling, which allows previous players of a session to leave behind a ripple effect of their adventures. These ghostly echoes of past players will aid you in your run of the game, whether by showcasing a destroyed bridge, hostile NPCs, helpful resources, or hints toward a puzzle. These echoed visions will effectively alter your world, changing your mission and story in real time - a blend of solo play with aided or hindered community play.
Will you be jumping into Tides of Tomorrow, or have you checked out the demo live on Steam? Let us know over in our Discord; we’d love to hear from you.
