Rockstar North Explosion: GTA 6 Studio Hit by Boiler Blast in Edinburgh – No Injuries
Fire crews rushed to the Edinburgh Rockstar North office this morning at 5 a.m. due to an explosion in a boiler room. The Grand Theft Auto VI developer’s office saw fire crews on site for three hours to contain the explosion and remained on site as they worked to secure structural damage. No casualties were reported as a result of the incident.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spoke about the explosion:
"We were alerted at 5:02 a.m. on Monday, 19 January to attend an incident on Holyrood Road, Edinburgh," they said in a statement to The Herald. "Operations Control mobilized three fire appliances and specialist resources to the scene, where firefighters worked to secure structural damage at a commercial building. There were no reported casualties and crews left the scene at 9:21 a.m."

It is currently unclear what caused the explosion at the Rockstar North studio. The office continues to be under investigation by the police. Thankfully, along with no casualties, no injuries were reported either, likely due to the explosion happening so early in the morning.
However, there is still an ongoing investigation into Rockstar’s 34 fired workers, which has been described as “union-busting” by the IWGB.
