Sea of Remnants: New Gameplay Trailer Revealed + Closed Alpha Test Sign-Up

Today, NetEase and Joker Studio revealed Sea of Remnants, a new pirate RPG where players take on the role of a puppetfolk sailor who drifts ashore without any memories of their past. Players will face treacherous seas and bizarre monsters while customizing their fleet and meeting over 300 companions in the pirate city of Orbtopia.

This ocean fantasy open-world RPG aims to deliver key features such as sea exploration, giving players the freedom to explore the open seas, build a crew to help sail and fight alongside powerful allies from rival factions during their voyage. You’ll battle sea monsters hiding in dark caverns or simply relax with mini-games. From wandering the islands to visiting Orbtopia, it’s a pirate’s life - with pistols in hand.

Sea of Remnants also featured a gameplay trailer, offering a first look at the pirate’s life of riches, both at sea and in the city of Orbtopia.

NetEase also announced the upcoming launch of the "Wanderer Test," a small-scale Closed Alpha running from February 5th to February 12th on PC. Players have the opportunity to check out the game by signing up for the playtest, starting today until January 23rd. To apply, simply follow the official Sea of Remnants X account, or join the official Sea of Remnants Discord and complete the application questionnaire. Questionnaires will also be available on platforms including Steam and Reddit. The team mentioned that spaces to participate in the test are extremely limited, and eligible captains will be notified if they are selected to receive test access.
