Ninja Theory's Next Game More Combat-Focused & Interactive, Potential Hellblade 3 Rumors?

With fans of the Hellblade Series from Ninja Theory on edge hoping for a potential trilogy, Jez 

Corden dropped a few interesting nuggets about the Ninja Theory's new game, during his look ahead to this year for Xbox. While it is known that Ninja Theory has a new game in the works, unfortunately not even Jez has been able to confirm if the game is Hellblade 3.

Time to Focus on Combat

Talking about the upcoming title for Ninja Theory, Jez noted that the team is approaching the project differently than its previous games; “I’ve heard Ninja Theory’s next game will be more combat-involved and interactive than Hellblade 1 and 2, while retaining the cinematic excellence the studio has come to be known for.“

Corden pulled back the curtain even more, alluding to the fact that not only does Ninja Theory have a game in the works, something known as Project Mara is also being given attention. “I just heard that Project Mara was ‘conceptual’. I often asked that question – ‘Where’s Project Mara?’ “When’s it coming out?” I don’t think it’s a thing – at least not yet. It’s just like a cool concept that maybe one day will become a game, but not for now. They’re just working on a singular title, which I think we all expect to be Hellblade 3 – potentially.“

The final note we got from Jez on the studio was re-iterating that the next title, whatever it is called by them, will have a bigger focus on combat. “I’ve heard they’re bringing that lineage to the next game – if it is Hellblade. I don’t know if it’s Hellblade, I just know it’s going to be more interactive and more combat oriented.”
