The Last of Us Season 3 Recasts Manny: Danny Ramirez Exits Due to Scheduling Conflicts

Season 3 of The Last of Us, set to debut in 2027, will have a new actor playing Manny. First confirmed by Variety, Danny Ramirez, who joined the show in Season 2, will not be returning in Season 3 due to scheduling conflicts. The role is set to be recast though the new actor has yet to be announced.

Manny is a supporting character in The Last of Us story. A former member of the Fireflies who later would join the Washington Liberation Front. Manny is part of a small group who aids Abby (Kaitlyn Dever) in tracking down and killing Joel (Pedro Pascal) following a massacre by Joel at a Firefly hospital where Abby’s Father is among those murdered.

Danny Ramirez is not the only drop out heading into Season 3, as co-showrunner, director, writer, and producer Neil Druckmann is leaving the show to focus on Naughty Dogs’ gaming output, including the upcoming release of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.

The upcoming season, which is still a year away, is set to focus on Abby, might have more content coming soon, as Naughty Dog outside Intergalactic is said to be working on another game, with some believing The Last of Us 3 could be in the works.
