Terminator Survivors Ditches Multiplayer Entirely and Gets Indefinite Delay
Bad news for fans for Terminator Survivors, Nacon Studio Milan has announced that the game has received not only an indefinite delay, the premise of the game is also shifting entirely to single-player going forward.
You Will Have to Go in Alone Now
Terminator Survivors was set as an open-world survival game where players would take on the role of survivors facing off against early Skynet prototypes, and helping to spark the resistance that are featured in the popular Terminator movies. Once set to be a multiplayer game, Nacon Studio Milan has stated that going forward the game will shift to an entirely single-player experience and all of the multiplayer mechanics stripped clean from the game.
This decision comes after extensive testing and discussions with fans according to the developers. Who also said that focusing on a single-player experience would allow them to do a better job to capture a more accurate vision of the well known Terminator world. With Macro Ponte the leader of the game's creative angle saying that single-player will allow them to ‘deliver the most authentic gameplay possible.’
A Small Victory?
One small positive from all of this, if you are a glass half full kind of person at least, is that there will not be any early access shenanigans for Terminator Survivors. As the studio has said that the game will launch as a complete product. Though Nacon Studio Milan has promised to arrange closed playtests once the launch window is closer which you can sign up for here.
