Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade Demo Out Now on Xbox – Full Game Launches January 22, 2026

Xbox fans won’t have to wait much longer for the epic masterpiece, Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Revealed during the Xbox Podcast and on X (formerly Twitter), Naoki Hamaguchi, the Game Director of Final Fantasy VII, announced what Xbox fans have been asking for: When will Final Fantasy VII Remake come to Xbox?

The answer is -now, sort of. Fans can play a demo of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE on Xbox right now, ahead of its full release on January 22, 2026. In the demo, players can experience the entire first chapter - the mako reactor bombing mission, for those familiar with the story. Progress made in the demo can be carried over to the main game, along with two bonus items: “Revival Earrings” and the “Survival Set,” which can be claimed in the full game.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is an updated version of Final Fantasy VII Remake, featuring a photo mode, new Classic difficulty settings, and graphical improvements. After nearly six years since the remake’s original release on April 10, 2020 to PlayStation fans - which currently holds an 89 on Metacritic - Xbox fans will finally be able to join the adventure next month.
