IO Interactive Accidentally Reveals 007 First Light Villain Before The Game Awards 2025

'Tis the season of leaks and accidental reveals, as fans eagerly await The Game Awards' biggest announcements and world premieres. The latest victim is IO Interactive, which appears to have inadvertently revealed the villain of its upcoming James Bond game, 007 First Light, on X (formerly Twitter). The post was quickly removed, but not before it was spotted by RestEra users.

The antagonist joining this globe-trotting thriller is none other than Lenny Kravitz. The reveal, which was meant to shock fans worldwide tonight, is just the first of many surprises likely to occur throughout the day. It's certainly unfortunate for IO Interactive to lose this opportunity for a dramatic reveal, but it's even worse for the person who accidentally shared the exciting news and is probably not having the best day.

007 First Light has us excited - after all, this is the incredible team behind the HITMAN series, experts at crafting thrilling infiltration scenes. While the leak may not matter in a few hours, it certainly diminishes the WOW factor.
