Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Leaked: PEGI Rating Confirms Black Flag Remake Ahead of Game Awards
It appears that the long rumored Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag remake has been confirmed by PEGI, the European rating system. Corkben posted on X, formerly Twitter, that a PEGI 18 rating has been listed on the PEGI website on a game titled Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced by Ubisoft EMEA.
Worst Kept Secret in Gaming?
Back in June of 2024 Ubisoft chief executive officer Yves Guillemot had confirmed that the company would be working on Assassin’s Creed remakes but did not give a hint into which game in the series would be the first one done.
While nothing official has come from Ubisoft a rumor in late November had pinned the Black Flag remake for a March 2026 release, which should mean an announcement would be coming very soon if that date is accurate. A Black Flag remake has been heavily rumored for years with Ubisoft's quad AAAA game Skull and Bones originally set to be a spinoff for Black Flag before changing directions.
Could a Trailer be just days away?
With The Game Awards only days away could Ubisoft have a trailer ready to premier during the event for the now officially leaked Black Flag Resynced? Or after skipping Ubisoft Forward in 2025 could there be an event for the company in early 2026 that gives us more details on the future of the Black Flag remake? For now it appears the game's production is moving along enough for PEGI to give the title an official rating, PEGI 18 for those curious is what is currently listed on the website.
