Rumors have been circulating for quite some time now, with Ubisoft reportedly adding RPG elements to the Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Remake. New story content is expected, cutting out the modern-day elements in favor of more Edward Kenway story beats and more. Now, Insider Gaming claims to have learned the release window of the much-anticipated remake, slated to arrive by the end of March 2026, sometime in the week of March 23rd.

However, changing the game in favor of more RPG elements, introduced with the launch of Assassin’s Creed Origins and continued with Odyssey, Valhalla, and the latest entry, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, has some fans expressing reservations about the changes.
