Ghost of Yotei to Receive New Game Plus and More Next Week
Sucker Punch has confirmed that their highly successful sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, Ghost of Yotei, has not only surpassed 3.3 million units sold within the title’s first month, but will also be receiving New Game Plus, new trophies, and cosmetics next week.
For those who have completed Ghost of Yotei and are looking for a reason to return, fans will be able to make their way back to Ezo on November 24th with the free update. Along with New Game Plus mode being added, players will also unlock a new, harder difficulty option upon completing the main story, as well as two new trophies for those hunters out there. We know you’re out there!
Also being added in the free update is a new currency, Ghost Flowers, which allows players to exchange them for 30 new cosmetic items with the newly added vendor. Look for new armor sets, charms, weapon dyes, and additional armor upgrades. If you haven’t played Ghost of Yotei yet and want to learn more, you can check out our review here.
Sucker Punch has mentioned that another, larger update is set to release next year. Legends 2 is currently in production and aims to have players working together once again in a multiplayer mode. Little is known about Legends 2, if that is indeed what they are calling it. However, in Legends One, players could team up in groups of four in a horde mode, eliminating enemies for hours on end, or play the additional co-op story mode added to the game.
Let us know if you are riding throughout Ezo once again in our Discord when the free update drops on November 24th.
