PS5’s BIGGEST Game Still to Come Teases PlayStation's VP

The PlayStation is once again having an incredible generation with the PS5. Selling over 84 million units and counting, PlayStation is sitting in a great position to claim top spot, but, they aren’t done yet.

Senior Vice President, Eric Lempel may have just put PlayStation fans into a tailspin. Speaking with BBC about the celebration of the PlayStation 5’s fifth anniversary, Lempel said, “I would say we're really hitting our stride now," he told BBC News Given there remains "a lot of great content" the company is "just going to continue with PS5" he explained. When speaking about the PlayStation 6.

However, that’s not what would set fans in a speculative tailspin. It was when Lempel said that the PS5’s BIGGEST seller hadn’t come out yet.

"I'm not going to tell you which one, but I think it's still to come," he said.

Well, there it is…Just what could he be talking about?

Wolverine, the amazingly talented team Insomniac, known for their work on the Marvel Spider-Man games and Ratchet and Clank will be looking to release our clawed-slashing friend next year in 2026. Could that be what Lempel is talking about? What about Naughty Dog? They are currently busy working on Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, the same team that brought us Uncharted and The Last Us series.

Or is it something that we have yet to hear about? GTA VI launching next year will clearly sell blockbuster numbers. But that’s Rockstar, a third-party company under the 2K leadership. Was Lempel not talking about a first-party studio? So many questions!
