ARC Raiders Movie or TV Series? CEO Reveals Hollywood Offers
ARC Raiders Coming to Film and TV?
It goes without saying at this point that Embark Studios has enjoyed a highly successful launch - only a few months in, the game has already reached 12 million in sales. The top‑charting title has impressed many and reshaped how players perceive the extraction‑shooter genre. So much so, there is now talk of the smash hit joining the likes of The Last of Us and Fallout with potential adaptations for film and TV.
In a recent interview with Dean Takahashi while playing ARC Raiders, Embark Studios CEO Patrick Söderlund and Nexon CEO Owen Mahoney discussed the game’s success, its future, and even offered a few gameplay tips during their session with Dean.
While talking about the game’s future, Söderlund mentioned that they have been approached several times about expanding the title into other mediums.
“I can’t tell you how many companies have reached out wanting to make a TV series and movie out of this IP.”
He continued:
“It would be fun, but it needs to be done in the right way. I think the IP fits quite well with something like that.”
Although the team does have writers on board, they are not currently working on a film or TV adaptation.
The future appears wide open in terms of what the team may pursue next, and the opportunities presented to them could help support their 10‑year roadmap for the game.
