ARK 2 Delayed to 2028: Vin Diesel Sequel Pushed Back Again
Ark 2 Has Been Pushed to 2028
The studio behind the dinosaur survival game ARK Survivor Evolved has been quietly working on Ark 2 since the game was revealed back in 2020.
Now, during the latest Snail Games Investor Day, co-founder of Studio Wildcard, Jeremy Stieglitz, confirmed that Ark 2 has been delayed once again, with a new release window set for 2028. The Vin Diesel - starring survival sequel, which is said to feature a full story mode, will have been in development for nearly a decade by the time it is released. The game was originally planned for a 2024 release, but Studio Wildcard changed their plans, first delaying it to an unknown date, and now announcing a window sometime in 2028.
Though players will have to wait a few more years for the sequel to arrive, the team has been busy supporting ARK well into the future. ARK: Lost Colony, part of the ARK: Survival Ascended upgraded version of ARK: Survival Evolved, sees the latest update with a new narrative for the game along with several other changes for those playing. Studio Wildcard has planned a two-year roadmap for the game to help build anticipation for the sequel.
