The Witcher 4 SKIPS The Game Awards 2025 – NO Trailer, NO Ciri
The Witcher 4 Is Sitting Out This Year’s Game Awards
We recently saw a brief inside look at the beautiful opportunities that The Witcher 4 could present to fans in the future, thanks to an Unreal Engine showcase back in June 2025. However, it seems that it will be a while before we see any news about Ciri or The Witcher 4 at all. Some fans may have hoped for another glimpse into the world, but it has now been confirmed: The Witcher 4 will not be at this year’s Game Awards.
The news comes directly from joint chief executive at CDPR, Michal Nowakowski, who posted on X that although The Witcher 4 was nominated for an award, the team would not be bringing any new content to TGA.
"I’m very happy to see The Witcher 4 nominated in the Most Anticipated Game category at The Game Awards," Nowakowski wrote. "Thanks to everyone who has already voted - your support means a lot of to us. We won’t be bringing any new content to TGA this year, but we’re, as always, excited to watch the show and celebrate this amazing industry’s great night alongside all of you."
This should not come as a surprise to fans of the series, as CDPR has stated that the game won’t be released until 2027 at the earliest, if not later. You can check out some wild fan theories and more about the upcoming Witcher title below.
