Is Crimson Desert coming to Nintendo Switch 2? | Specs Show It's Possible
With Crimson Desert launching next week, fans are anticipating one of this year’s largest titles in terms of scope to truly wow players. One question many fans have been asking is: Will Crimson Desert come to the Nintendo Switch 2?
Crimson Desert will have players take on the role of Greymane - Kliff - tasked with restoring the brutal continent of Pywel and reuniting with the group he once called family: the Greymanes. Players will explore vast landscapes, fight countless boss encounters, and discover a world full of wonder. The game is set to launch on March 19, 2026 for PC, PS5, Xbox, and Mac (yes, even Mac), and will also be playable on the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X. But what about Nintendo?
Pearl Abyss recently revealed the game’s PC specifications and console performance details. However, one console was notably left off that list - the Nintendo Switch 2. At this time, there appears to be no plans for the game to be ported to Nintendo’s handheld device. We have reached out for clarification on this matter, as the performance specifications note that Crimson Desert runs on the ROG Xbox Ally X upscaled from 720p to 1080p, a performance level that could likely be matched by the Nintendo Switch 2. That said, as of the time of writing, there has been no announcement confirming Crimson Desert for the Nintendo Switch 2.
