Fallout: New Vegas Remaster Teased by Iron Galaxy on LinkedIn

The long-rumored Fallout: New Vegas remaster took a massive step towards being fully confirmed today, thanks to LinkedIn of all places. Iron Galaxy posted to the website with a tease of what's next for the studio, including a picture of a “Please Stand By” picture from the Fallout series covering up a desert environment.

Today’s our February company meeting. It’s time to catch up with what the company’s been up to and what’s coming up next for IG.

Iron Galaxy has had a hit-and-miss track record of remakes and ports, with some solid showings from Metroid Prime Remastered and bringing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim to the Nintendo Switch, and The Elder Scrolls Online to PS4 and Xbox One.

However, it is hard to forget the disaster of the Iron Galaxy PC port of Batman: Arkham Knight, which was so bad Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment had to suspend PC sales until the main developer, Rocksteady, could fix the game. Along with The Last of Us Part I which suffered from various bugs, memory leaks, and stutters among other issues, when IG ported the Naughty Dog title.

While both titles have since recovered and now boast positive reviews on Steam, it still raises a bit of a red flag for a potential Fallout: New Vegas remaster. We have known a Fallout 3 remaster was in the works for a while due to a leak from Microsoft, and with Bethesda’s Todd Howard stating that the studio has a “number of Fallout projects” it's working on right now, it would make sense for a New Vegas remaster to be in the works.

What are your expectations for a Fallout: New Vegas remaster? Do you think it can live up to the standards of the original or will it fall flat? Let us know in the comments and come hang out with us in the GamerzTheory Discord.
