PlayStation State of Play This Thursday Feb 12 | Over 60 Minutes of Big Reveals
PlayStation has confirmed a State of Play event for this Thursday.
With the start of a new year, fans often wonder what’s in store for their preferred gaming platform. Nintendo has already hosted three Nintendo Directs, and Xbox recently held a Developer Direct. However, PlayStation has yet to showcase anything this year - until now.
On the official PlayStation X account, it was announced that on Thursday, February 12th, fans can tune in for over 60 minutes of news, gameplay updates, and announcements from studios around the world.
“February’s State of Play will spotlight eye-catching third-party and indie games headed to PS5, along with the latest from teams at PlayStation Studios. State of Play broadcasts live February 12 at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 11pm CEST | February 13 at 7am JST on YouTube and Twitch. The broadcast will be in English, with Japanese subtitles available. We’ll see you then!”

The last State of Play, which focused on Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined and Fatal Frame 2, took place on November 11, 2025. Typically, PlayStation State of Play events feature around 20 minutes of gaming news and reveals. However, this upcoming State of Play is more aligned with a Showcase, where larger reveals usually occur.
There is no mention of what fans can expect to see this Thursday. What are you hoping to see at this State of Play? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
