Highguard Episode 2 Patch Notes: Ekon Abilities, New Map, Ranked Mode Arrives
Highguard, the new, highly controversial, FPS game, has already been through highs and lows within the first few weeks of its release. After recently introducing 5v5 mode after community complaints about the 3v3 mode. Highguard has launched Episode 2 already, with a new warden, map, a ranked mode, and more.
The PVP Raid Shooter from the creators of Apex Legends and Titanfall has received its second major update in just as many weeks with Episode 2. After adding the now permanent 5v5 rotation last week after several complaints about the 3v3 mode feeling too empty. This update adds a brand-new warden known as Ekon.
Ekon passive ability, Dread, reveals the heartbeat of wounded enemies, which will remain visible until they die or regen their health. His tactical, Wolf Spirit, lets you hunt the nearest enemy and apply Dread, through long distances and through walls and rocks. His ultimate ability, Wolf Form, lets him turn into a powerful direwolf that can track and hunt mounted enemies.
The new map Skydrift will come to both the 3v3 and 5v5 mode, wardens can navigate through hollowed-out caverns home to great beasts, spar off against one another in an ancient ring of stone, and ride through huge chain bridges and through “"remarkable Sky Jumpers to reach Skydrifts highest point — a palace above the clouds."

In addition, the ranked mode has arrived, players can go from Bronze (Hare) to Grandmaster (Leviathan). For those interested in ranking, the game will be, for now, only in 3v3 mode. With 7 ranks, each has 3 divisions, players will fight to be rewarded based on the rank they are in at the end of the episode.
There is also a new wolf mount coming. The mount will be free to all players, with a skin variation for those who play 10 ranked matches to unlock the Shadow Wolf skin.
