Kiwi Talkz, a well-known insider for GTA VI, stated on X that, according to a source in India, GTA VI will launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 on the same day as the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. However, Kiwi Talkz expressed doubts, noting that none of their other sources at Rockstar have mentioned anything about GTA VI coming to Switch 2. Kiwi Talkz did mention that the source in India has a somewhat decent track record in the past.

Although the Nintendo Switch 2 could potentially run GTA VI, the game would require significant optimization, graphical compromises, and likely a post-launch release, rather than a simultaneous launch with the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has previously released GTA titles for PC post-launch, rather than on launch day. This could also be the case for the Switch 2.
