Borderlands 4 Switch 2 Release Date Leaked: February 27, 2026 via Portuguese Retailer

The Borderlands 4 Switch 2 version had been delayed indefinitely, back in September 2025. However, a Portuguese retailer might have just leaked the release date for the game. Little news has come from Take Two about the Switch 2 version of Borderlands 4, with the only reason for the delay being stated as, to give the developers additional time to work on the game.

That time might soon be coming to an end thanks to Gaming Replay, a Portuguese website that has a Switch 2 listing for Borderlands 4 and a release date set for February 27, 2026. Currently set at €69.99 for a Game Key Card.

Last November, the Take Two CEO revealed that launch sales numbers for Borderlands 4 were “a little softer” than the company would have liked, with expectations still that the game will do well in the “fullness of time”. How much the eventual Switch 2 launch of the game will help those numbers remains to be seen.
