StarRupture Early Access Smash: 500,000 Sales in Under 2 Weeks + 83% Positive!

Creepy Jar is off to a successful launch with the recent early access release of StarRupture, selling 500,000 copies in under two weeks. StarRupture is Creepy Jar’s second original IP, following the release of Green Hell, a jungle survival game where you, as the player, search for your missing spouse who was taken by the local tribe. You and your friends are challenged to find your spouse, survive the wild encounters of the jungle, and do your best to keep your sanity.

Now, Creepy Jar is entrusting players to survive the Rupture - a blazing hot blast that wipes the planet clean before cooling its temperature enough for players to head out, craft, build, automate and survive the onslaught of creatures known as vermin. Steam’s Early Access numbers are impressive, with 500,000 copies sold in just two week and players rating the early access title at 83%, according to Steam reviews.

Along with the exciting reveal, we took a quick look at some other details, including a peak player count of over 42,000. The game ranked #2 on Steam, with over 100,000 followers and nearly 1 million wishlists.

Krzysztof Kwiatek, President of the Management Board of Creepy Jar S.A., said:

Already, after such a short time since the release, we can see that in terms of gameplay, StarRupture achieves similar results to Green Hell - nearly 40% of players spent over 10 hours in each game, and the median playtime is similar for both our productions."
