Where Winds Meet Version 1.2 Update: January 2026 Roadmap Brings Guild Battles Preseason, New Region & Boss
Where Winds Meet, the latest game from NetEase Games which released in November 2025, just got its January 2026 roadmap. The January update is jam-packed with content, including story updates, new events, an introduction to guild PvP, and helping the elderly get around the city. Headlined by Where Winds Meet version 1.2 players should expect tons of new content to the new game.

NetEase Strike Gold Again?
Version 1.2 has some massive additions for players of NetEase latest smash hit, including a new region, the Nine Mortal Ways Camp, a new puzzle cave called Mistviel Prison, as well as the final Kaifeng volume, and a new world boss, the Nameless General.
Guild Battle Preseason might be the most interesting addition to the January roadmap. Guild Battles are coordinated PvP efforts where players must work with fellow guild mates to achieve victory. While winning solo will be possible, the odds are stacked against those who go in alone. NetEase has said the preseason will be a six-match tournament to allow players for feedback on the mode. "This preseason is crucial for us to gather player feedback and refine the core Guild Battle mechanics," NetEase said in a press release, though they did tease that even bigger guild content is planned in future content.

With new content already released earlier this week with the Unbound Solo mode and Hero’s Realm, Version 1.2 will officially release on January 9th with more content coming throughout the month. The first month of Where Winds Meet saw over 15 million players around the world hop on, and has helped establish NetEase as a new giant in the industry following their hit Marvel Rivals earlier last year.
