Rebel Wolves kicked off the year with a Launch Year Special teaser video, which leaves fans a little more hopeful the studio's debut title The Blood of Dawnwalker will launch this year. Konrad Tomaszkiewicz founder of Rebel Wolves and the former Game Director of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt was joined by Global Community Lead Dominkia Burza as the pair talked about The Blood of Dawnwalker one year since its reveal.

Release Window Confirmed?

Which the two did not give many details, Burza does seem to confirm a 2026 release date, though as we all know this industry is no stranger to delays;

Dominika Burza: …The Blood of Dawnwalker launches this year. We won't reveal the release date today, but you can expect to start hearing from us more and more.

As the game gets closer to launch it will be interested to see how Rebel Wolves adapts to feedback, the game already went some significant changes after the first gameplay trailer, with fans expressing concerns over directional combat, which Creative Director Mateusz Tomaszkiwicz said late last year was being changed to be a setting to allow players the ability to play the game as a more traditional ARPG if they so choose.

As one of the rare games in 2026 set to release day one on PC, PS5 and the Xbox Series, it will be interesting to see when the game releases in what is set up to be a jam packed 2026 already. Powered by Unreal Engine 5 and with the hype to back it up, lets hope this game delivers.
