The Witcher 3 New DLC Rumored for May 2026: Developed by Fool's Theory to Bridge to The Witcher 4
While we wait for The Witcher 4 details, it appears that The Witcher 3 is getting more DLC in 2026, set to be developed by Fool’s Theory. Rumors of a potential new DLC for The Witcher 3 have been around since June of 2025 with expectations for the games third expansion to be announced last year but it never happened. However thanks to Polish Noble Securities Analyst Mateusz Chrzanowski it appears the new DLC is set for May of 2026.
Fool’s Gold?
According to Chrzanowski the next paid DLC for The Witcher 3 is set to release in May of 2026 developed by Fool’s Theory, who are also currently working on a The Witcher 1 remake. The upcoming expansion will “kick off the proper marketing campaign for The Witcher 4.” Speaking of The Witcher 4, Chrzanowski believes the game is currently set for a Q4 2027 release.

In addition to Chrzanowski, Borys Nieśpielak who was credited as the source of some of Chrzanowski’s info said that The Witcher 3 DLC rumors have been verified by “several” independent sources, and Nieśpielak cited CD Projekt RED’s recent earning calls which included the line
“Given our current progress, there is a chance that new content hinted upon in recent calls and reports may see release in the coming year.” CD Projekt RED official response simply stated the company “does not comment on rumour or speculation”.
